Fitting and Installation
Correct fitting and installation is essential for successful commissioning
Most projects will require on site fitting and installation for successful commissioning, which we do as part of our service. Staircases and balustrades with high quality finishes usually require a pre-fit to allow for minor changes before the finish is completed. The picture is a pre-fit of an unfinished balustrade and handrails. Site work depends on the complexity of the project, the site surroundings and the size of the product. For larger installations, the process will include a method statement to satisfy safety site requirements with an optional risk assessment. The method statement specifies the process to be adopted for installation including all equipment to be used, and in what order. Agreement of the method statement is essential to avoid conflicts with other ongoing customer projects, as often access is restricted when a building is under construction. All health and safety rules and good sensible working practices are adhered to. Where agreed, we will connect up services to machines or machine components. |
