Transfer Conveyor

The project was designed by PPR, and manufactured by Edgar Fabrication for Viridor Richardson.

The finished product is at a Viridor Richarson site in South Wales. Viridor Richarson, who provide waste management facilities, have 27 sites thoughout the UK. This particular site is for glass recycling.

• The hopper measured 5m x 5m across the top and was loaded with 5 tonnnes of powdered glass at a time
• The conveyor was used to load bulk carriers (essentially tankers)
• The conveyor handled what was the products final journey off site, the covers were to keep the product dry and also to keep the product 
  contained.
• At the bottom of the conveyor was a vibro plate which kept the product moving, whole structure was 6.5m tall.
• The rollers, motors, vibroplate and conveyor belt components were all bought in, the conveyor belt was fitted in the workshop to teh structure by partners, this helped the 
  fitting process as the whole job had to be fit over a weekend during a shut down.
